Victor Osimhen and his former Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia currently lead the UEFA Champions League Man of the Match rankings this season, with four awards each.
Despite Galatasaray’s round of 16 exit to Liverpool, Osimhen remains one of the standout performers in the competition after recording seven goals and three assists in 10 appearances.
The Nigerian striker earned his four awards in matches against Liverpool, Bodø/Glimt, Ajax and Juventus, including a hat-trick display against Ajax in November.
Kvaratskhelia has also impressed for Paris Saint-Germain, most recently picking up an award in PSG’s quarter-final win over Liverpool. The Georgian winger could move ahead of Osimhen when PSG face Arsenal in the Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest.
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is also in contention after claiming three Man of the Match awards during the campaign.
Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia previously starred together at Napoli, helping the Italian club win the 2022/23 Serie A title. Since then, Kvaratskhelia has joined PSG, while Osimhen moved to Galatasaray after an initial loan spell.
