U.S. Sends Warships, Marines to Middle East as Iran Tensions Rise

The United States has sent three warships and around 2,500 Marines to the Middle East as tensions with Iran continue to grow.

The deployment is aimed at increasing the U.S. military presence in the region and addressing rising security concerns linked to the ongoing crisis. Officials said the forces include amphibious assault ships carrying Marines trained for various missions, including combat and emergency operations.

This development comes as clashes between the U.S. and Iran intensify, with both sides carrying out attacks and counterattacks, raising fears of a broader regional conflict.

Experts say the additional troops and naval forces are meant to strengthen deterrence and improve operational readiness, especially around important routes like the Strait of Hormuz, which is key to global oil transportation.

Although there is no confirmation of planned ground operations in Iran, the move highlights a major step-up in military preparedness as tensions in the Middle East remain high.
