Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Visit France, Kenya, Rwanda for Key Global engagement

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to leave Abuja on Saturday, May 2, for a multi-country diplomatic trip to France, Kenya, and Rwanda, where he will participate in a series of high-level international meetings.

In a statement released by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President will begin his tour in France before heading to Nairobi, Kenya, for the Africa-France Summit.

The summit, to be co-hosted by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will address critical issues including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital innovation, climate action, and reforms in global financing systems.

Scheduled for May 11–12, the event will convene leaders from Africa and France under the theme “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth.” Key discussions are expected to focus on economic transformation, infrastructure expansion, youth development, technological progress, and peace-building initiatives across the continent.

After the summit in Kenya, President Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the Africa CEO Forum from May 14 to 15. The forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” is organised in partnership with the International Finance Corporation and is expected to host over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers.

At both events, the Nigerian leader is expected to present his administration’s economic reform agenda and promote Nigeria as a prime investment destination. He will also engage in bilateral meetings with global and African business leaders on the sidelines.

The statement added that the President will be accompanied by top government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after concluding his engagements in Rwanda.
