The Iranian government has accused the United States and Israel of carrying out a joint strike that hit a pharmaceutical facility involved in producing cancer medications.
Iranian authorities said the attack affected a major center responsible for manufacturing essential cancer drugs, raising fears about disruptions to treatment for patients nationwide. The facility has been identified as Tofigh Daru Research & Engineering Company, which is owned by the Social Security Investment Company, a state-controlled investment organization.
Officials in Iran strongly criticized the incident, describing it as a breach of international law and an assault on civilian infrastructure.
They also warned that the damage could further strain the country’s healthcare system, noting that many patients depend on locally produced medicines.
Meanwhile, neither the United States nor Israel has confirmed the allegation. Both nations have consistently stated that their operations target strategic and security-related sites, particularly those connected to weapons programs.
