Peter Obi has celebrated Pastor William Kumuyi on his 85th birthday, describing the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry as a “faithful father in faith.”
”In a message posted on X late Saturday, Obi praised the veteran cleric’s lifelong dedication to Christian service and his impact on millions of people across the world.
The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress said Kumuyi has remained a model of integrity, humility, discipline, and commitment to spreading the Gospel.
Describing Kumuyi as a faithful father in faith, Obi said the respected preacher has transformed countless lives through his teachings, leadership, and personal example over several decades.
Obi also prayed for Kumuyi’s continued strength and good health as he marks the milestone age of 85.
“Happy 85th Birthday, Papa Kumuyi. May your light continue to shine brightly,” he said.President Bola Tinubu also joined other well-wishers in celebrating Kumuyi, describing him as a remarkable man of God whose faith and dedication have helped build one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian ministries over the past five decades.
