Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have officially joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), receiving their membership cards on Sunday at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
Kwankwaso was presented his card first, followed by Obi, in the presence of party leaders and supporters. Their move comes after Obi resigned from the ADC over internal issues, while Kwankwaso had been in talks with the NDC.
Earlier, both leaders met with top party figures, including former Bayelsa governor Seriake Dickson, in what is seen as part of efforts to strengthen opposition alliances ahead of the 2027 elections.
