Former Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has responded to growing Ikpeazu Third Term Calls, saying he receives more than 100 messages daily from supporters urging him to seek another term as governor.
Addressing the Ikpeazu Third Term Calls, Ikpeazu thanked his supporters for their trust. However, he stressed that democracy must prevail and that citizens must respect constitutional provisions.
He said he remains grateful for the confidence many Abians continue to place in him. He added that public service requires respect for democratic principles and the rule of law.
Reflecting on his years in office, Ikpeazu cited the biblical passage, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” He said he stayed close to the people, listened to their concerns, and worked to meet their needs.
According to him, God’s grace helped his administration deliver impactful projects and leave a lasting legacy in Abia State.
