
The area boys on Monday apprehended suspected bandits in the Eleko and Babadisa axis of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.
According to residents, the suspects were intercepted by the area boys in the area. The arrested individuals were reportedly found in possession of firearms, knives, and other dangerous weapons.
Eyewitnesses said the suspects had raised concerns among residents due to their suspicious movements before they were apprehended. The discovery of the weapons heightened fears about insecurity in the rapidly developing coastal community.
Authorities have taken the suspects into custody and are expected to begin investigations to determine their identities, activities, and possible links to criminal networks operating within and outside the area.
Residents commended the swift action of security personnel and urged law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant to prevent criminal activities in the community.
