Fayose warns that the ADC stands little chance of winning the presidential election if Peter Obi is not included on its ballot.

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has stated that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) may struggle to secure victory in a presidential election if Peter Obi is not featured as the party’s candidate.

Fayose made this assertion while speaking on the current political landscape in Nigeria, emphasizing Obi’s strong support base and influence among voters, particularly the youth. According to him, the former Anambra State governor remains a key political figure whose presence on the ballot could significantly impact the ADC’s chances at the polls.

He noted that without Obi, the party might find it difficult to mobilize enough nationwide support to compete effectively against more established political parties. Fayose’s comments come amid ongoing discussions and speculations about potential alliances and candidate selections ahead of future elections.

The statement has since sparked reactions across political circles, with analysts and supporters debating the possible role Obi could play in shaping the fortunes of the ADC if he chooses to align with the party.
