Remi Tinubu Says Nigerians Need ‘Tinubu Eyeglasses’ to See National Progress

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has said Nigerians who fail to recognise the country’s progress need “Bola Tinubu eyeglasses” to appreciate the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

She made the remark on Friday at the inauguration of the Abuja headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a grassroots mobilisation group campaigning for the President’s re-election in 2027.

The First Lady cited improvements at Nigerian airports as an example of the progress she believes the country has recorded under her husband’s administration.

She also expressed hope that she would leave the Presidential Villa in 2031 and enjoy a better Nigeria in her 70s.

After her address, Remi Tinubu commissioned the movement’s Abuja headquarters and expressed support for her husband’s 2027 re-election bid.

She also voiced support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the movement’s convener, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

Her remarks come amid public debate over the Federal Government’s performance and the economic challenges facing Nigerians.

While the administration has pointed to developments in some sectors, many citizens continue to raise concerns about the cost of living, food prices and other economic pressures.

The First Lady’s comments are expected to attract reactions from Nigerians with differing views on the administration’s record and its plans for the country.
