Papa Ajasco Actor Abiodun Ayoyinka Rebrands as “Bondu Alaska” Over Copyright Issue with Wale Adenuga Productions

Veteran Nollywood actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, widely known for his iconic role as Papa Ajasco, has officially announced a rebrand to a new name, “Bondu Alaska.”

The move comes following copyright restrictions on the “Papa Ajasco” name, which is owned by Wale Adenuga Productions. The production company, founded by Wale Adenuga, holds exclusive rights to the popular character from the long-running comedy series.

Ayoyinka, who became a household name through his portrayal of the humorous and bald-headed Papa Ajasco, confirmed that the change was necessary to comply with intellectual property regulations.

Despite the rebrand, the actor assured fans that his style of comedy and entertainment would remain unchanged, promising to continue delivering laughter under his new identity, “Bondu Alaska.”

The development has sparked mixed reactions among fans, many of whom have expressed nostalgia for the beloved Papa Ajasco character, while others have shown support for the actor’s decision to evolve and adapt.
